
Channel 4 has named Lucy Thomas as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a role that has been introduced to the executive team and reports directly to the Chief Executive, Alex Mahon.

In her position, Thomas will oversee the organization’s financial operations. Her responsibilities include working closely with both the Chief Executive and the executive team, seeking out both commercial and strategic growth opportunities, and aiding in the company’s digital transition.
Thomas expressed her excitement about her appointment, stating her admiration for Channel 4’s mission to drive change through entertainment, which she personally enjoys as a viewer. She looks forward to collaborating with Mahon and the Channel 4 team.
Before her appointment at Channel 4, Lucy Thomas held the position of Chief Financial & Operating Officer at Bauer Audio. In that role, she managed a commercial finance team across nine European markets. Thomas brings a wealth of experience from over two decades at Sky, where she held various significant roles, including Commercial Finance Director and Commercial MD, and eventually served as Group Chief Data Officer. She began her career at Arthur Andersen in London, where she earned her qualification as a Chartered Accountant.
Lucy Thomas is set to commence her new role as CFO of Channel 4 on April 22.
