Lumens Digital Optics Inc., today announced the NDI|HX3-capable VC-A71SN PTZ camera which transmits 4K video at up to 60 fps.
The camera is packed with high-end features including 12G-SDI, SRT streaming, and support for the BT.2020 color space, making it suitable for live streaming, broadcasting, and live events.
“NDI|HX3 is a breakthrough video over IP production and transmission format, delivering superb video quality and low latency at low bitrates. Activating the format in this new broadcast-quality camera represents a significant advance in PTZ technology.” – Commented Steven Liang VP of Product Development at Lumens.
The VC-A71SN is also notable for its inclusion of a 12G-SDI port for 4K transmission over traditional baseband networks. This gives users the ability to evolve to IP production, or to use the camera flexibly in a variety of workflows. Support for Rec.709 and BT.2020 color spaces and the FreeD protocol enables it to operate in a wide range of broadcast and AV projects, including virtual reality video.
Thanks to its professional 1/1.8 type progressive CMOS sensor, the VC-A71SN delivers excellent video quality. Smooth and near-silent PTZ motion, combined with a professional 30x optical zoom lens means that the camera can be positioned in any location and still deliver the right shot. Power over Ethernet and support for standard VISCA control further enhances the camera as a unit which is easy to install, integrate and manage.
