Magewell has expanded the control capabilities of its Director Mini production and streaming system with the release of a new plug-in for Elgato’s Stream Deck series.

This integration brings greater flexibility to production workflows by offering users additional options for controlling the system.

Magewell plans to showcase this integration, alongside more than 50 new features introduced in the latest 3.0 firmware update for Director Mini, at the 2024 NAB Show New York in booth 753.

Enhanced Control for Director Mini with Stream Deck

Director Mini, a compact all-in-one system for production and streaming, supports multi-input switching, graphics, recording, streaming, and monitoring. Its intuitive touchscreen interface and companion mobile app have made it popular with users seeking to manage multi-camera productions easily.

With the new plug-in, users can now assign over 200 Director Mini features to the customizable buttons on Elgato’s Stream Deck controllers. Tasks such as switching video sources, triggering overlays, and starting streams can be executed with a single button press. The Stream Deck + model offers additional control options through dials and a dynamic touch strip, enhancing the use of Director Mini’s built-in audio mixer.
