Marco Tempest, a renowned creative technologist, illusionist, and pioneer in mixed reality, is set to headline the 2023 IBC Show from Sept. 15-18.
His session, titled ‘Virtual Production & the Metaverse: A future where everyone is invited to play’, is free for all attendees. The event is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Forum at the RAI Amsterdam.
Recognized as an industry innovator, Tempest has been instrumental in pushing the boundaries of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) to create groundbreaking immersive experiences. His notable affiliations include being a Creative Technologist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a Directors Fellow Alumni at MIT Media Lab, and the founder of magicLab, a consortium dedicated to blending science, illusion, and digital technology.
IBC highlighted that Tempest’s keynote promises to be both enlightening and engaging. He will merge generative AI, mixed reality, storytelling, gestural sensing, and swarm robotics to offer attendees a sneak peek into an enchanting, augmented future.
