TFT1957 Interviews Mark Townsend, International Sales, Studio Technologies, at IBC2024.
-
What new products is your company showcasing at IBC 2024?
Basically, we’ve got a range of Dante-based audio-over-IP solutions. We have intercoms with beltpacks and announcer consoles, primarily designed for college sports, AV, and broadcasting. We also have intercom engines that allow us to create cost-effective partyline circuits within Dante, so you can combine them with any Dante-enabled product. It’s also a great way to introduce yourself to audio-over-IP installations for the first time.

What do you think about the future trends of the broadcast and cinema industry?
We see a continuation of audio-over-IP. We’re really just enhancing and adding features that we’ve seen requested from different applications. People have talked about the convergence of audio-over-IP in the broadcast and AV markets over the last couple of years, and we’ve seen that trend accelerate. For example, many people are using our broadcast-based products in the AV market, and they are performing the same types of production in theaters and conference halls. It’s all broadcast equipment, but applied to AV use cases.
Mark, thank you so much for the interview!
