TFT1957 Interviews Mathieu Planche, CEO at Witbe, at IBC2024.
– What products and solutions did your company present at IBC?
Witbe brought its award-winning automated testing and proactive monitoring technology for video service providers to IBC. Our headline reveal at the show was a major update to our virtual NOC, called Remote Eye Controller, which allows providers to control and monitor their real test devices from anywhere in the world. It empowers them to see what service they deliver locally to their end users and compare it their traditional NOCs that broadcast their streams at the source. The update displays live service alerts and KPIs on video streams in the REC, turning the application into a comprehensive station for all video monitoring needs. Team members can also record and share any stream at any time, empowering efficient communication and ensuring everyone “speaks the same language” when it comes to the quality and performance of their video services.
– What were the main trends of the show?
A major trend of the show was efficiency, the search for new technology to streamline and improve existing workflows. This has always been a major focus of our work at Witbe with automation. Efficiency goes hand-in-hand with AI, the other major trend of the show. At Witbe, we have been utilizing AI for years to help cover tedious and labor-intensive video testing tasks, freeing up team members to spend more time on other tasks. Our Smart Navigate feature, which automatically learns how to navigate menus on streaming video apps and Set-Top Boxes, is a perfect example of this. It has empowered teams to script test scenarios up to ten times faster, using AI to work more efficiently.
