Matrox Video is set to present its latest AV-over-IP (AVoIP) technologies at InfoComm 2024, from June 12-14, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The company will display its new Vion AVoIP gateway and Mura distributed video wall appliance at Booth W1132. Matrox Video will demonstrate a wide range of products designed for networked IP-based control rooms, live events, and other mission-critical environments, showcasing how they facilitate control over KVM, streaming, and video walls via IP.
Highlight on Mura Distributed Video Wall Appliance
The new Mura distributed video wall appliance, featuring a scalable, fully IP-based architecture and a web configuration tool, will be demonstrated. It supports up to 64 4K displays, offering PTP-synchronized and frame-locked video. The appliance supports H.264 and H.265 over 1- to 2.5-GB networks and can decode up to four 4Kp60 streams in 4:4:4. At InfoComm, Matrox will showcase a 5×3 video wall powered by five Mura appliances, demonstrating seamless synchronization and content streaming from various sources.
Introduction of Vion AVoIP Gateway
The Vion AVoIP gateway is designed for flexible IP video bridging and conversion. It supports various formats and codecs, such as RTSP-H.264 to NDI and NDI to IPMX. Ideal for live production and collaboration, Vion features HEVC 4:4:4 codec support, enabling color space conversions and multichannel encoding, decoding, and transcoding. This gateway will be demonstrated at InfoComm, showcasing its capabilities in IP-to-IP workflows.
KVM Extension and Switching with Extio 3 and KMLync
Matrox will demonstrate its Extio™ 3 IP KVM extenders and KMLync USB keyboard/mouse switch, designed to enhance operator efficiency in multimonitor workspaces. The demo will highlight KVM matrix systems over IP for multimonitor setups, showcasing 4K multiview over IP and seamless mouse switching.
Ultra-Low Latency Streaming with Maevex Encoders/Decoders
Matrox will also showcase its Maevex 6100 and 7100 Series encoders and decoders for ultra-low latency streaming and recording of H.264/H.265 content. These products support simultaneous streaming and recording with zero-latency pass-through, facilitating real-time decision making. The Maevex series allows full-frame synchronization from multiple sources and can display captured streams on a Matrox LUMA Pro-powered video wall.
ConvertIP Series for Video Production
The ConvertIP Series of encoders/decoders and converters, ready for IPMX/ST 2110, will be highlighted for their interoperability and cost-efficiency. The demo will feature the new Daisy Chain function, which enables flexible content distribution in live production environments, reducing the need for extensive network equipment and wiring.
LUMA Pro Graphics Cards for Video Walls
Matrox will demonstrate the LUMA Pro graphics cards, which support robust H.264/H.265 decoding for versatile baseband and IP-based video walls. These cards support high-density output and synchronization, enabling the creation of large video walls. The new Mura C4K quad HDMI® capture PCI Express® card will also be showcased for high-density HDMI captures.
New DSX ST 2110 and IPMX NIC Cards
Matrox will introduce new network interface controller (NIC) cards, DSX LE5 D25 LP and DSX LE6 D100, which support multichannel video I/O over 10/25/100GbE networks. These cards, along with the Matrox DSX SDK, allow for the creation of IP-based applications for HD/3G/4K and 8K workflows. The NIC cards also support IPMX for custom resolutions and frame rates, suitable for media server applications.
Additional AVoIP Product Highlights
Matrox will also present products like the Monarch EDGE remote production encoders and decoders, suited for both pro-AV and broadcast applications. Experts at the booth will discuss the Matrox Video ST 2110 and IPMX roadmap, along with IPMX Smart Display Modules and IP-to-IP gateways. Matrox products will also be part of a demo at the AIMS Booth C6123, showcasing interoperability with other IPMX products and AES67 devices.
