At IBC2024, Matrox Video will introduce solutions aimed at addressing the challenges faced by broadcasters and content producers in video capture, production, and delivery, as well as in the management, routing, and orchestration of workflows.

The company’s high-performance 4K IP KVM solutions include the Matrox Extio 3 IP KVM extenders and Matrox KMLync keyboard and mouse switch. These tools enable flexible KVM matrix system design over IP, enhancing multi-monitor operator workspaces and supporting advanced workflows. Extio 3 offers low-bitrate, glitch-free 4Kp60 4:4:4 and quad 1080p60 4:4:4 video extension and switching over 1GbE networks, with multi-view capabilities, seamless mouse switching, and enhanced security features.

Matrox will also preview the industry-first, open standards-based IPMX/ST 2110 Matrox Avio 2 IP KVM at IBC2024. Avio 2 delivers broadcast-grade quality to KVM with uncompressed, real-time remote operation on 10GbE networks, with optional support for 1G networks using the JPEG XS codec. Avio 2 is fully NMOS-compatible for easy device discoverability and routing of media streams. It supports image quality up to 4K and 4:4:4 color space, enabling fast switching and lag-free operation, with 24/7 reliability and robust security.

Advanced Encoding/Decoding for REMI and Video Transport

Matrox will showcase the latest features of its Monarch EDGE encoder/decoder, known for ultra-low-latency, high-resolution video streaming and remote production. Version 2.08 includes reprogrammable I/O, encoder and decoder previews, SRT Connection bonding, custom PIDs, and other enhancements, expanding its utility for video transport and distribution workflows.

Flexible IP Bridging and Transcoding

Matrox Vion IP video gateway addresses the challenge of converting between different IP video formats. The gateway supports NDI, IPMX, ST 2110, SRT, and other formats, enabling flexible routing workflows. It offers low-latency multichannel encoding, decoding, and transcoding, supporting HEVC and H264 codecs, as well as SDI/HDMI I/O options.

IP Video Conversion and Monitoring

The Matrox ConvertIP video converter encoder/decoder is designed for ST 2110 and IPMX workflows. It provides a practical solution for integrating IP video formats into existing SDI infrastructure and data networks. ConvertIP supports compressed and uncompressed ST 2110 formats, including JPEG XS, and features a new ST 2110-7 Daisy Chain mode for enhanced flexibility and cost efficiency.
