Matrox at NAB 2024: IP/IT Solutions

Matrox Video will participate in the NAB Show in Las Vegas from April 13-17, where it will display its latest technology for improving IP- and IT-based workflows for the media industry.

Matrox Video will demonstrate its products and share examples of how they assist in broadcasting, live event production, and other media-related activities. The company aims to show its role in the shift towards digital and IP-based media workflows.

The exhibition will feature the Monarch EDGE series, known for its encoding and decoding capabilities, including support for 4K, multi-HD, low-latency streaming, and upcoming features such as high dynamic range (HDR) and Dolby audio.

Another highlight is the Matrox ConvertIP, which converts HDMI or SDI signals to ST 2110 and IPMX, offering a cost-effective solution for integrating traditional and IP-based workflows.

Matrox ORIGIN is introduced as a cloud-based live production solution, emphasizing the industry’s move to software-defined, IT-based infrastructure. The Extio 3 IP KVM extenders and KMLync KM switch will also be presented for their ability to improve media production workflows through flexible KVM system design over IP.

Technology Updates and New Releases

The update to the Matrox DSX SDK includes features like low-latency video processing and support for new encoding and decoding standards, as well as integration with AWS S3 for cloud-based operations. The release of the DSX LE6 D100 ST 2110 Network Interface Card, designed for high-resolution media environments, supports high channel density for UHD and 8K inputs and outputs with low latency, aimed at enhancing performance in broadcast and virtual production settings.
