Matrox Video’s participation at InfoComm 2023 promises to offer an insightful and action-packed showcase, featuring the latest solutions and educational sessions.

Matrox video will be demonstrating their capabilities to AV systems integrators. The exhibit will highlight Matrox Video’s range of encoders, decoders, IP KVM extenders, and video wall products. These offerings are designed to support a wide range of requirements for highly compressed, lightly compressed, and uncompressed IP signal transport, catering to the diverse needs of streaming, recording, extension, and visualization in pro AV, control room, and digital signage environments.

Attendees can look forward to exploring the Matrox LUMA Pro Series graphics cards, including the low-profile LUMA A310FP and standard-height LUMA A380P models. Powered by Intel Arc GPUs, these single-slot graphics cards are engineered to drive digital signage and video wall systems. They offer flexibility by supporting up to two 8Kp60, two 5Kp120, or four 5Kp60 DisplayPort 2.1 monitors. The LUMA Pro Series cards feature video wall enhancements such as frame-lock support, native HDCP compatibility with Matrox HDMI capture cards, the ability to create a single large canvas using multiple cards, and hardware decoding of H.264 and H.265 streams using Matrox Mura software libraries.

The graphics cards are compatible with the latest graphical capabilities, supporting DirectX 12 Ultimate, OpenGL 4.6, Vulkan 1.3, and OpenCL 3.0. They also incorporate class-leading, hardware-based codec engines for encoding and decoding H.264, H.265, VP9, and AV1 video streams.

Matrox Video’s booth will also highlight the real-time compressed and uncompressed AV-over-IP solutions, featuring IPMX-ready ConvertIP encoders/decoders and the ConductIP media routing appliance and software. The ConvertIP Series enables interoperability, flexible, and scalable IP-based infrastructures for delivering lossless, zero-latency 4K signals across 1, 10, and 25 GbE pro AV networks. These appliances are standards-based, fanless, PoE+, and 24/7-reliable, offering exceptional quality for real-time to near-real-time AV-over-IP applications. Additionally, the ConvertIP products can bridge HDBaseT to AV-over-IP networks.

The Extio 3 IP KVM extenders will also be featured, providing a 4K IP KVM matrix with multiview capabilities. These extenders enable control room operators to monitor and control multiple centralized workstations remotely from any location. The Extio 3 solution supports 4K/quad-HD extension and switching, allowing operators to securely monitor and control up to four systems on one full-HD or 4K display using a single keyboard and mouse. To complement Extio 3, Matrox Video will introduce a new keyboard and mouse switch for building multimonitor operator workspaces with seamless mouse switching.

Matrox Video’s InfoComm showcase will emphasize the importance of IPMX, an open standard developed by AIMS. The company’s ConvertIP solution, already IPMX-ready, enables consistent and interoperable AV-over-IP transport in the pro AV industry. IPMX is capable of working on networks ranging from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps and beyond, including wireless connections. It features a standard compression scheme that provides ultralow latency while maintaining excellent quality. IPMX can transport resolutions beyond 8K in 4:4:4 10-bit color or target a 4:2:2 color space to ensure consistency with other sources and elements in the workflow.
