Tennis Channel has recently announced the appointment of Matt Graham as their new Senior Vice President for Direct-to-Consumer and Streaming Business Development.

Graham, a seasoned executive in the TV and digital sectors, will lead the initiative to launch Tennis Channel’s own streaming service in 2024, making the network directly accessible to consumers. Operating from the company’s headquarters near Los Angeles, he will report to Bill Simon, the Executive Vice President, COO, and CFO, and will collaborate closely with President Ken Solomon on the development, introduction, and growth of this direct-to-consumer (DTC) offering.

This move aims to provide access to Tennis Channel for the vast number of households without a pay TV subscription, fulfilling a long-term goal of the network. The company anticipates that under Graham’s leadership, by next year, anyone in the U.S. will be able to access Tennis Channel, marking a first in the 20-year history of the channel.

Simon highlighted Graham’s extensive experience in both traditional and new media as ideal for driving the network’s expansion across America and potentially beyond. Graham has a track record of establishing successful streaming platforms, increasing their subscriber base, and launching them into new markets. His appointment responds to a common request from fans for direct access to Tennis Channel.

Graham’s background includes a significant tenure at AMC Networks as the general manager of streaming platforms Acorn TV and Sundance Now, where he achieved remarkable growth and international expansion. His time at PBS Digital was marked by the founding of PBS Digital Studios, which targeted younger and more diverse audiences through digital content, leading to significant viewership and several awards.

Beginning his career in advertising as a commercial editor, Graham has worked with major clients like Sprint and Chevron and co-founded Umlaut Films, a film editorial facility in San Francisco.
