Mediaproxy Returns to NAB Show with LogServer Upgrade

Mediaproxy, a leader in software-based IP compliance solutions, is set to showcase its updated LogServer product at the NAB Show in Las Vegas.

The updated version is designed for multi-format, multi-standard compliance monitoring, focusing especially on ATSC 3.0.

Integration of NextGen ATSC 3.0

As NextGen ATSC 3.0 channels proliferate across the United States, Mediaproxy’s LogServer has adapted to offer extensive compliance, monitoring, and analysis capabilities for these streams. The NAB Show this year highlights the widespread adoption of ATSC 3.0, a standard that merges Over-the-Air and Over-the-Top broadcasting technologies.

Advanced Software Capabilities

Mediaproxy has enhanced LogServer to process various broadcast formats, including in-house packager output (STLTP) and off-air transmission (DASH ROUTE) formats, with capabilities for decryption using A3SA. This development enables engineers to manage new formats effectively and affordably through a well-known interface that supports review, monitoring, and real-time analysis.

Compatibility with Industry Standards

LogServer is also compatible with other significant broadcasting and streaming standards, such as SMPTE ST 2110 and NMOS for IP network media transport, as well as SCTE for dynamic ad insertion. The latest version, which will be demonstrated at the NAB Show, includes features for cloud operations and supports decentralized system clustering over IP networks. Additionally, the Monwall multiviewer will be displayed, enhancing multiviewing capabilities in conjunction with LogServer.

Comments from the CEO

Erik Otto, the CEO of Mediaproxy, remarked that NextGen ATSC 3.0 is becoming a definitive future-proof standard for IP-based broadcasting in the U.S. This year’s NAB Show will not only focus on this critical technology but also on Mediaproxy’s efficient and cost-effective solution for comprehensive ATSC 3.0 monitoring.
