Meike has officially unveiled its latest addition to the camera lens market, a 55mm F1.4 autofocus lens designed specifically for APS-C sensor cameras.
This new lens is now available for Fuji X and Nikon Z mounts, with shipments already underway. The Sony E mount version is expected to be released by the end of March.
Compact Design and High-Quality Optics
This lens is celebrated for its combination of affordability, compact size, and high-speed performance. It features an aperture range from F1.4 to F16, making it versatile for various lighting conditions. The lens has a 55mm focal length, a 52mm filter thread, and weighs approximately 286 grams (10.08 oz), ensuring ease of use and portability.
Advanced Features for Enhanced Photography
With a construction of 11 elements in 8 groups, the lens promises high-quality image capture. It boasts a minimum focusing distance of 0.61 meters (24 inches) and includes 9 diaphragm blades for smooth background blur. The autofocus capability enhances its convenience for photographers.
Wide Angle of View
The lens offers a wide angle of view, with 28.2° diagonally, 23.4° horizontally, and 15.7° vertically for APS-C sensors. For M43 sensors, the angle of view is slightly narrower, with 21.7° diagonally, 17.4° horizontally, and 13.1° vertically.
This new 55mm F1.4 lens from Meike is poised to be a favorite among photographers seeking a lightweight, fast, and affordable prime lens for APS-C cameras.
