The new Model 207A retains the design and functionality of its predecessor, the Model 207, but includes additional features tailored specifically for the gaming and eSports industry.

Enhanced Audio and Intercom Support

The Model 207A is a compact, PoE-powered unit that provides comprehensive audio and intercom support for eSports players. This model allows production personnel, team coaches, and fans to hear exactly what the players are hearing, including in-game discussions. The addition of an audio masking solution helps prevent teams from overhearing their competitors or event commentators.

New Headphone Output and Software Updates

To better meet the needs of audio masking, the Model 207A introduces a second 2-channel stereo headphone output located on the back panel. This output, accessible via a 3.5 mm TRS jack, allows players to connect wired earbuds directly. The accompanying STcontroller software has been updated to offer more flexible audio source selection for the headset output, as well as to support the new headphone output. These features are particularly useful in eSports settings where players need to manage both game and masking audio.

Internal and External Audio Masking Solutions

The Model 207A includes an internal source for masking audio and also supports external sources. This feature helps ensure that players do not hear live audio from the game venue. The new headphone output, designed for use with earbuds placed under the headset’s over-ear earpads, allows players to receive their preferred audio while masking unwanted noise.

LED Indicators and Circuitry Improvements

The Model 207A, like the original Model 207, is equipped with LED indicators that project from the bottom of the unit. The new version features LEDs that can display either blue or red, providing the ability to distinguish between different teams or groups. The updated STcontroller application allows users to configure LED colors, offering enhanced identification options.

Additionally, the Model 207A’s circuitry has been refined to improve audio performance, with a lower noise floor and increased operational flexibility compared to the original Model 207. These updates make the Model 207A better suited for professional eSports applications.
