In the ever-evolving world of film technology, MotoCrane has unveiled the Revolt, touted as the world’s inaugural TB50 to 3-Pin XLR Smart Adapter. This innovative power solution is set to redefine how filmmakers energize the DJI Ronin 2.

The Revolt is a user-friendly device, functioning similarly to a TB50 battery. Simply slot it into the battery sled, connect to a power source, and it’s ready for action. Its built-in logic processor ensures a flawless “digital handshake”, positioning the Revolt as a dependable power alternative.

Powering Possibilities with the Revolt

The Revolt primarily uses 3-pin XLR (24V) power. However, its adaptability shines with two converter options:

DC-3 Converter: Converts standard DC voltages (12V, 36V, 48V) to 3-pin XLR. This is invaluable for automotive shoots, where the DC-3 can directly connect to a vehicle’s 12V battery, offering uninterrupted power during filming.

AC-3 Converter: Transforms 100-240V AC power to 3-pin XLR. Ideal for stationary cranes or jibs with a consistent power supply, ensuring the DJI Ronin 2 remains charged, irrespective of shoot length.

External Power Options

Beyond the converters, the Revolt can harness power from Anton Bauer’s CINE VCLX, delivering 28V via a native 3-pin XLR. Renowned for its durability, this battery is perfect for extended shoots.

Seamless Hot Swapping

A highlight of the Revolt is its hot swapping capability. When changing the CINE VCLX, the Revolt ensures the DJI Ronin 2 stays powered, allowing uninterrupted gimbal operation. This feature promises filmmakers continuous shooting without equipment downtime.

MotoCrane’s Revolt presents filmmakers with a versatile power solution for the DJI Ronin 2. Its intelligent design, user-friendliness, and compatibility with diverse power sources make it a must-have for filmmakers aiming to elevate their shooting prowess.
