MSolutions is presenting its new docking extender solution, the MS-63DOC Docking Extender, at InfoComm.
This innovation aims to simplify installation by consolidating video, audio, and data signals through a single USB-C cable.
Streamlining Meeting Room Integration
The MS-63DOC Docking Extender enhances meeting room integration by eliminating the complexities of traditional HDMI connectivity. It efficiently moves signals over long distances in medium to large meeting and learning spaces.
Exhibition Details
MSolutions, in collaboration with Symco, its new manufacturer’s representative, will showcase the MS-63DOC Docking Extender at the Stirling Communications Supply booth (W2153). The demonstration will highlight how the extender uses a single USB-C cable connected to the Host unit to transmit 4K@60 4:4:4 video, data, audio, and Ethernet over Category cable to a Device unit (Receiver). This setup allows positioning the Host up to 100 meters (333 feet) away, functioning as an HDBaseT gateway to the Device, thus enhancing connectivity and flexibility.
Docking Extender Features
The MS-63DOC Device serves as a comprehensive docking extender, supporting up to two displays via separate HDMI connections, a USB or PTZ camera via USB 3.2 or USB-C connections, and an audio speaker output. The Host unit also includes a built-in control system for managing third-party meeting room elements such as camera control, which improves operational efficiency.
CEO’s Statement
Eliran Toren, CEO of MSolutions, highlighted the industry’s move towards USB-C for connectivity, noting that many new laptops and desktops no longer include HDMI and RJ45 connections. He explained that the MS-63DOC Docking Extender addresses connectivity issues by turning the extender into the actual docking station. This design transmits video, audio, and data signals over one USB-C cable, reducing costs and cable clutter associated with separate docking stations while ensuring reliable, full bandwidth 5G video, audio, and control signals.
Support for Hybrid Meetings
The MS-63DOC Docking Extender facilitates seamless hybrid meetings by quickly transmitting video, data, and audio within the room with zero latency before integrating with conferencing software like Zoom and Teams. This ensures that in-person and remote participants experience the content simultaneously, enhancing collaboration and engagement. In educational environments, instructors can send video and data from laptops or podiums to the docking extender, providing flexibility in content display.
Additional Product Debuts
At InfoComm, MSolutions will also introduce several other products, including the MS-210WP 4K wallplate KVM extender set, which offers uncompressed HDMI and USB signals between client and host machines in an ultra-slim wallplate profile. Additionally, the MS-41Q QuadView video processor will make its North American debut. This cost-effective Multiview scaler displays four 4K@60 4:4:4 video sources on one screen, suitable for live production, security, and monitoring purposes.
