ACE Sports, a leading company in the design, project management, manufacturing, and installation of video/scoreboards, audio, and production equipment for sports venues across North America, has recently upgraded Nashville High School in Arkansas with a state-of-the-art video production system.
JVC Professional Video, known for its high-quality broadcasting equipment, supplied two GY-HC500UN CONNECTED CAM™ Handheld Production Cameras and a suite of workflow tools for this project.
Advanced Switching and Control Equipment
The installation also included JVC’s KM-IP8S4PRO CONNECTED CAM vMix Studio Switcher, capable of handling four SDI and eight NDI inputs with vMix 4K software. Additionally, the package featured the RM-LP450G Replay Control Surface and the RM-LP350G Desktop CONNECTED CAM vMix Control Surface, enhancing traditional-style switching and control for live productions.
High-Quality Live Streaming and Replay Capabilities
The newly installed system allows Nashville High School to broadcast live sports events and instant replays in 4K ultra-HD quality on one of the largest video boards in American high schools. Mark Bridges, Director of Business Development at ACE Sports, highlighted the necessity of using high-quality cameras to match the video board’s 200 million pixel resolution, ensuring clear and focused content for viewers.
Enhancing Game Day Experience
The integration of JVC’s technology by ACE Sports has significantly improved the viewing experience for sports fans at the school. Cameras stream live to the video board, while also recording the action, allowing spectators to watch close-ups and replays, even from the opposite end of the field. The RM-LP350G vMix control surface has been particularly appreciated for its ability to facilitate traditional-style switching and manage PTZ camera presets.
A Long-Term Partnership with JVC
ACE Sports has been a loyal customer of JVC Professional Video, using the brand’s equipment in numerous projects over the years. Bridges expressed satisfaction with the partnership, emphasizing the user-friendly nature of JVC cameras, which makes them ideal for educational settings. Nashville High School students, who are taught to operate live productions as part of their curriculum, have found the JVC equipment easy to use and effective for their broadcasting needs.
