Ncam Makes In-Camera VFX Tracking Accessible to the Day

Ncam, creators of the world’s most advanced real-time camera tracking technology, announce new software licensing tiers.

The new level will increase flexibility, reduce costs, and open up in-camera visual effects (ICFVX) for projects of any size. With new daily, weekly or monthly subscriptions, the system is now fully customizable for the project that needs it.

“Along with real-time mechanisms, camera tracking is the main foundation of virtual production,” says Nick Hatch, CEO of Ncam. “We are lowering the barriers to entry on the tracking side with a new pricing structure where you only pay for what you need, making the best system on the market more accessible to everyone.”

Using Ncam’s new online configurator, potential customers can view a checklist of hardware and software combinations that suit their individual needs and receive an immediate quote. With new software price tiers starting at $395 a day, teams will be able to experiment with in-camera effects, live AR and XR, real-time CG environments, and more with the same technology used by companies like The Weather Channel, Disney, and Netflix.

The company said the new tiers “provide maximum flexibility as users no longer need to pay a perpetual license for something they can only use a few times. For a 10-day shoot, they can buy exactly what they need – a week plus three days – while optimizing the budget.” Teams can also purchase shorter licenses for pickups or fast-paced projects, like Anomalyst Studio did for the RazerCon 2021 CEO keynote, with little to no space required,” says Ben Kee, creative director and founder of Anomalyst Studio. “Together with weekly licenses Ncam we can deploy a truly personalized live camera tracking experience for our customers.”

All pricing tiers will include all software updates and technical support at no additional charge, including tutorials where applicable.

New software subscription tiers cost $395 per day, $1,195 per week, and $2,995 per month. An annual price is also available. Use of the software requires a one-time hardware purchase of approximately $4,990. To book a demo, click here.
