In OffShoot 24.2, users no longer need to drag in each folder individually to label them. The new version allows users to choose whether to manage a selection of folders and files as a single Collection or as Independent Sources.
Previously, separate Sources were all treated with the same Preset. Now, Hedge has introduced a method to control how Sources are reviewed, either one by one or all at once. The default workflow is to Batch Add Sources, requiring only one click to Add Transfers. This is suitable for workflows that do not require a Preset or where the Preset does not depend on user input for custom Elements like Project, Scene, or Take. If a Preset includes custom Elements that vary per Source, the new Batch Add Sources setting will display the Review pane sequentially for each Source. Additionally, users can set a Preset per camera type, allowing different Presets to be applied to independent Sources.
New Moving Files Feature
OffShoot 24.2 includes the ability to move data if the Source and Destination are on the same volume. Users can switch to Transfer mode by holding down the Option/Alt button, which overrides the Move setting for that transfer. Moving data does not require verification, but for verified copies or creating a Media Hash List while moving files, users should disable or override the Move setting.
Price and Availability
OffShoot 24.2 is now available for purchase. New licenses start at $149, and extending an older license costs $79.
