Hedge has introduced OffShoot 24.3, incorporating the legacy Checkpoint app functionality.
This update allows users to verify existing backups within OffShoot using previously generated MHLs and ASC MHLs. The Checkpoint verification settings have been redesigned to be more intuitive and user-friendly.
The new version also allows users to switch verification modes based on source names, providing greater flexibility and control.
Easy Backup Verification Process
With OffShoot 24.3, verifying existing backups is simple. By double-clicking an MHL file, OffShoot initiates a Verification transfer. The software locates all files referenced in the MHL, checksums them, and compares the results to the stored checksums in the MHL. A log file is created for future reference.
Verification Results
If all files are found and their checksums match the MHL, a green transfer bar will be displayed. If any files cannot be found or fail verification, an alert will be triggered.
Availability
OffShoot 24.3 is now available for free to users who purchased or extended their license within the last 12 months.
