Uniguest has released Onelan 24.2, the latest software update for its digital signage software CMS.
This update brings several key enhancements, including the addition of Node.js support for BrightSign devices and a new API for improved content scheduling through third-party applications.
Benefits of Node.js Integration
Node.js is a widely-used technology that enables developers to create rich, interactive, and dynamic web applications. With this update, Node.js applications can be uploaded to the CMS, downloaded, installed, and run locally on BrightSign players. This allows Onelan customers using BrightSign devices to develop advanced HTML content, leading to more engaging and interactive customer experiences. Applications such as product selection kiosks or on-demand information displays can now be enhanced, allowing customers to input their requirements and receive tailored product information.
New API for Streamlined Content Scheduling
The update also introduces a new API for automating content management and playlist scheduling from third-party applications. This feature allows customers to integrate their existing schedule management tools with the Onelan signage network, streamlining content deployment processes.
Statement from Uniguest CTO
Jeff Stonebrook, Uniguest’s Chief Technical Officer, stated, “Onelan has consistently offered a robust interactive digital signage solution. The addition of Node.js support enables our customers to utilize advanced technology, thereby enhancing their ability to deliver engaging content and improving the overall customer journey.”
