OOONA has launched a new tool which provides broadcasters and language service providers with an intuitive management system to keep track of all their quality control.

The OOONA QA tool is designed to manage the quality assurance process of asset types such as video, audio and subtitle files. It is aligned with OOONA’s philosophy of customization, allowing all descriptive fields to be tailored to the user’s requirements. Content to undergo QA can be entered manually or imported as an Excel file. Once logged, a ticket is generated, capturing issue type, source, description, severity and other relevant data to identify the error’s exact location and origin. The system includes intuitive controls for collaboration among team members who work on fixing errors flagged until an asset is greenlit. Originally developed for HOT Telecommunications, Israel’s largest cable TV and internet service provider, OOONA QA is now available to all enterprise clients.

“To support our operations, we need to QC hundreds of files on a daily basis,” said Aviran Barlev, Content Operations Director at HOT Telecommunications. “We were looking to replace our current labor-intensive and time-consuming workflows with a streamlined QA solution. OOONA quickly reacted to our request, providing a high-end scalable QA platform that perfectly fit our needs. We have now rolled out the OOONA QA system across all channels.”

“Effective project management and quality assurance are essential components of successful language operations,” added Wayne Garb, OOONA co-founder and CEO. “We remain committed to providing innovative solutions which enable our customers to overcome any production challenges they might face. It has been great to work with HOT Telecommunications on this turnkey project.”
