Ooona recently announced an integration with Limecraft to offer its users more subtitling automation in its media localization platform.
This agreement has been reached at the Languages & the Media Conference in Berlin. Limecraft develops video production automation solutions. It has engineered an AI Automated Subtitling workflow that cuts down the time needed to complete same-language subtitling assignments by up to 80%, depending on the content. The solution was originally developed in collaboration with the VRT, the BBC and ITV.
“We have recently crossed the threshold of 2% word error rate in some of our transcription tasks – this is huge in terms of productivity improvement,” says Maarten Vervaest, founder and CEO at Limecraft. “We are very excited to feature our subtitling automation solution in OOONA’s Toolkit and reach an even wider user base. OOONA and Limecraft are committed to providing a bullet-proof integration in terms of security, performance and level of service in general. By taking care of technical complexity, we free up valuable time for our users to concentrate on more creative tasks.”
“We are continuously working on enhancing the automation functionalities we offer in our toolkit,” comments Alex Yoffe, OOONA Tools Product Manager. “Human language technologies are a big part of this puzzle: speech recognition, machine translation and synthetic voices too.”
