PHABRIX, a brand under Leader Electronics Corporation, will present a comprehensive selection of its test and measurement (T&M) instruments at BroadcastAsia 2024, which takes place at Singapore Expo from May 29-31, 2024.
BroadcastAsia is part of Asia Tech x Singapore, the region’s flagship technology festival, and serves as a key meeting place for Asia’s broadcasters, media, and entertainment professionals.
Importance of BroadcastAsia
BroadcastAsia has been a significant event for PHABRIX for many years, providing a platform to introduce new solutions and features and to connect with existing and potential customers. The 2024 event will continue this tradition, showcasing new features and upgrades across PHABRIX’s extensive product range.
Qx Series Enhancements
A major highlight will be the Qx series of rasterizers and waveform monitors, including the Qx, QxL, and QxP models, which now support the detection and analysis of SMPTE Full Range video standards. This update enables the Qx Series to generate video standards in Full Range, Full Protected (FP) Range, or Narrow Range (NR) in IP ST-2110, and either Full Range (FR) or Narrow Range (NR) in IP ST 2022-6 and SDI. Additionally, the Qx Series’ analyzer can now verify color content regardless of the specific video format in use.
Advanced EUHD Option
PHABRIX will also showcase new features in the Qx Series, including an advanced EUHD option with the QxL rasterizer and QxP portable waveform monitor. This option supports UHD and 4K HFR (High Frame Rate) extended video formats in ST 2110, addressing the increasingly common workflows in broadcast and media production.
Specific Product Demonstrations
Visitors to BroadcastAsia will have the opportunity to see the capabilities of several class-leading products, including the PHABRIX QxP 25G ST 2110 and 12-SDI portable waveform monitor. The QxP inherits all the features and flexibility of the QxL rasterizer and is designed for various environments, including on-set SDR or HDR productions, QC, MCR, engineering, and R&D applications.
Sx Series Handheld Solutions
PHABRIX will also exhibit two solutions from its Sx Series of handheld/portable instruments. The SxE portable 3G/HD/SD generation, analysis, and monitoring toolset includes advanced SDI physical layer analysis, making it ideal for video technology manufacturing and live production. The Sx TAG portable IP/SDI + analog generation, analysis, and video/audio monitoring toolset is well-suited for the increasing number of hybrid media environments worldwide.
