Premier Sports Regains Ownership from Viaplay Group

Premier Sports is set to make a comeback in the UK market by early 2024, pending competition approval. This follows its sale to Viaplay Group in July 2022. The company plans to regain control and continue its existing services.

Channels and Streaming Options:
The content will remain accessible through the usual channels on Sky and Virgin. Streaming options will include Prime Video and iTunes. Additionally, Premier Sports is gearing up to introduce an enhanced streaming service, providing 24/7 access to its two main TV channels and other significant live content.

Seamless Transition for Current Users:
Existing customers will experience a smooth transition, retaining access to all content on their preferred platforms.

Sports Coverage:
The broadcaster will maintain its coverage of Scottish FA Cup and the exclusive Scottish League Cup. International football highlights include Scotland’s national team matches and the UEFA Euro 2024 playoffs. La Liga fans can follow every match, including Jude Bellingham’s Real Madrid in a tight title race.

Rugby and Other Sports:
Comprehensive rugby coverage includes live games from the United Rugby Championship, featuring exclusive matches of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Ulster, Cardiff, Dragons RFC, Ospreys, and Scarlets. The EPCR Challenge Cup will showcase games involving Edinburgh, Ospreys, and Cardiff, along with select matches from the TOP14. Fans of NHL and NASCAR will continue to enjoy these sports, with new content additions planned.
