At IBC2024, Proton Camera Innovations, a German company known for its expertise in miniaturized cameras, will introduce its latest product, the PROTON RAIN.
This new camera has been specifically designed to meet the demands of outdoor production and sports environments, where durability and reliability are critical.
Product Overview
The PROTON RAIN is slightly larger than Proton’s flagship product, the PROTON CAM, with dimensions of 30mm x 30mm. Despite its compact size, the camera features a heavy-duty casing that protects it in conditions where impacts or jolts are likely. With an IP67 rating, the camera is weatherproof, making it ideal for use in environments with heavy rain or dust, without compromising image quality or risking damage. This makes the PROTON RAIN particularly suitable for applications such as off-road motorsports, extreme sports, and other demanding outdoor activities.
Features and Flexibility
The camera comes equipped with a micro lens that can be easily replaced with wide-angle lenses, providing flexibility in capturing various shots. Its small size and lightweight design enable creative filming angles, while the rugged construction ensures the camera’s reliability in challenging conditions.
User-Focused Design
Proton Camera Innovations has prioritized user-friendliness in the design of the PROTON RAIN. The camera operates on a real-time system, and firmware updates can be conveniently performed through a PC or Mac, streamlining the process for users.
CEO Comments
Marko Hoepken, CEO of Proton Camera Innovations, emphasized that the PROTON RAIN was developed in response to customer feedback. He noted that while the camera maintains a compact size similar to the PROTON CAM, it offers enhanced durability, expanding its potential applications. Hoepken also indicated that this is just the second in a series of product launches planned by the company, aimed at providing tailored solutions that meet specific market needs.
