PTZOptics Unveils Advanced Camera Technology at ISE 2024

PTZOptics is set to present an impressive range of video production solutions at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2024.

The company will be located in Hall 5, Booth #5D530, featuring advanced models such as the Move 4K, Move SE, Link 4K, Studio Pro, and the SuperJoy controller. The focus will be on the Move 4K’s new firmware, promising significant advancements in PTZ camera technology.

Enhanced Auto-Tracking in Move 4K A key feature of the Move 4K’s upcoming firmware is its improved auto-tracking technology. The upgrade allows the web interface to distinctly identify each subject within the tracking area, enabling precise tracking. This system, equipped with an intuitive bounding box, promises consistent performance across various feeds like SDI, HDMI, USB, and NDI, essential for dynamic filming situations.

Composition Framing and Zoom Modes The firmware update also introduces composition framing in auto-tracking, allowing the camera to frame subjects to the left, right, or center, maintaining optimal positioning. The Move 4K will offer four new zoom modes – Dynamic, Close-Up, Medium, and Long Shot. Dynamic Zoom Mode provides operators control over optical zoom, while the other modes cater to different production needs.

Track Now and Auto-Tracking Sensitivity Features The ‘Track Now’ feature, added to both Move SE and 4K models, enables immediate subject tracking from the camera’s current position. This addition enhances flexibility and responsiveness. The firmware will also bring in an Auto-Tracking Sensitivity feature, allowing for smoother tracking adjustments in pan, tilt, and zoom movements.

Auto-Framing and Advanced Camera Control The Auto-Framing feature in the Move 4K cameras adjusts the camera to include multiple subjects in a scene. The PTZOptics API G3 update is set to revolutionize camera control with enhanced functionalities like auto-tracking and subject selection. However, Auto-Framing cannot be used concurrently with auto-tracking.

Preset Tour and Privacy Mode The Preset Tour feature allows for easy cycling through pan, tilt, and zoom presets, ideal for consistent camera positioning. For sensitive environments, the Privacy Mode ensures the camera’s standby status, with the lens facing away for privacy.

FreeD Support and Virtual Environment Integration A notable addition to the Move 4K cameras is the support for the FreeD protocol, enabling integration with systems like Unreal Engine for immersive virtual environments and live video enhancement.
