Five matches will be held at MHPArena in Stuttgart during this year’s European Football Championship.

To accommodate international spectators, four separate public viewing zones will be established in the city center. In partnership with the Baden-Württemberg police, Qvest is responsible for the technical security concept for the police’s main control center in Stuttgart, ensuring the safety of fans around the stadium and throughout the city.

Technical Infrastructure Implementation

The Qvest team implemented the entire technical infrastructure, including managing all incoming video signals at the security control center. This infrastructure supports the coordination of all operations by the Baden-Württemberg police during the championship. Several workstations were upgraded and expanded to meet the specific needs of the tournament.

The security control center’s 3×3 meter screen wall can process 128 input and output sources. These sources include bodycams, cameras inside and outside the stadium, surveillance cameras in the city center, and image signals from police helicopters and drones monitoring the entire city. All these signals are coordinated in the security control center.

Visualization and Coordination

Two 55-inch smart displays with touch panels visualize live overview plans of operational locations, various PC workstations with intranet, and all incoming signals. These displays can also forward signals to other control centers in Baden-Württemberg. In total, 17 police control centers across the region are connected to the main security control center.
