This year’s Cine Gear Expo circuit wrapped with a successful Cine Gear Expo Atlanta on October 6th – 7th.
Held once again at Trilith Studios, the show welcomed thousands of attendees, new and old, from local artists, content creators, students, filmmakers, and crew, to rental houses, trade journals, associations, and equipment makers.
Virtual Production was a hot topic, including the well-attended Eisley Company and PRG Seminar “This is the Way: Our Journey Navigating Real-Time Pre-Viz on Set,” and the roster of other popular panels hosted against the backdrop of Trilith’s massive 18,000 sq. ft. Creative Technologies LED stage. Even Carl the Dalmatian got in on the action, demonstrating ZEISS’ new CinCraft Scenario camera tracking on the show floor.
Speakers: The International Cinematographers Guild IATSE Local 600, Georgia Production Partnership, Lux Machina and Trilith Studios, Aputure, Canon, Lumix, The Eisley Company and PRG, and American Society of Cinematographers.
Exhibit areas were full of companies showcasing the latest equipment and services including: cameras, optics, lighting, grip, support, motion control, stabilizers, virtual stage LEDs, robotics, streaming, monitors, filters, camera cars, cases, and other tools of the trade. Also on hand were industry guilds and trade organizations including the American Society of Cinematographers, IATSE Local 479, Georgia Production Partnership, and the ICG Local 600. It’s time for cinema technology enthusiasts to mark their calendar for 2024’s Expos.
Dates are set for Cine Gear Expo New York, held at historic Industry City, March 14th -16th.
Look out for the Los Angeles Expo, to be held June 6th – 9th, 2024, as well as the next Cine Gear Expo Atlanta, October 4th – 5th, 2024.
