Exclusive cooperation with Renault in the super sports year 2024: SPORT1 launches new in-car apps with attractive video and podcast offer SPORT1 has launched new Android in-car apps as part of an exclusive partnership with Renault.

The new native in-car apps are exclusively available for free download from now until the end of the year and non-exclusively afterwards on the OpenR link multimedia system, which also offers other selected apps for Renault customers. The apps were developed on the basis of the Android Automotive OS (AAOS) infotainment platform integrated directly into vehicles by car manufacturers. With the new apps, Germany’s leading multichannel sports platform is expanding its reach by another touchpoint and now also reaches drivers and passengers in Renault’s connected cars. Equipped with OpenR link are: Megane E-Tech Electric, Scenic E-Tech electric, Austral, Rafale and Espace.

The SPORT1 in-car apps for Renault: Sports highlights on video and an extensive podcast portfolio “to go”

The new SPORT1 in-car apps for Renault provide users interested in sports with an even more attractive entertainment experience on board:

The video offer includes, for example, soccer highlights, videos from international and national motorsport racing series such as the FIA WEC or the ADAC GT Masters as well as highlights from SPORT1 formats such as “Der STAHLWERK Doppelpass”, “2 nach 10 – die Morgenshow”, “Bundesliga Classics” and the social media formats “Was macht eigentlich…?”, “Wie gut war eigentlich…?” and “Transfermarkt-Show” as well as the latest news, interviews and background reports on many other relevant sports and competitions.

The podcast portfolio includes podcasts from the areas of Soccer, Darts, Tennis, Handball and American Football – with “Der STAHLWERK Doppelpass”, “Die Dortmund-Woche”, “Die Bayern-Woche”, “Leadertalk”, “Flutlicht an!”, “Wie gut war eigentlich…?”, “Checkout”, “Cross Court”, “Anwurf – Der Handballtalk” and “Footballquark”.
