The Group Effort Initiative (GEI) has announced a collaboration with Dimension, a leader in real-time and virtual production, and DNEG 360, an extension of Dimension’s partnership with visual entertainment services company DNEG.
Together, they are launching the ‘Rise Up’ program, which opens on August 1, 2024.
Opportunities for Trainees
This program offers UK residents from diverse backgrounds the chance to gain professional experience at Dimension’s state-of-the-art virtual production complex in London. The training will be in collaboration with DNEG 360 and Sunbelt Rentals. Participants will receive accommodation, transportation, and a stipend.
Industry Connections and Project Involvement
During the program, trainees will have the opportunity to meet leading production executives, including those working on the upcoming film “Animal Friends” (2025). This feature, combining live-action and animated characters, is currently in production at DNEG and is co-produced by Legendary Entertainment, Prime Focus Studios, and Maximum Effort, Ryan Reynolds’ production company.
Upcoming Productions
Dimension and DNEG 360 have announced several upcoming independent British productions, including “2040,” “Campbeltown ‘69,” and “HUMANOID” (Cambridge Picture Company), as well as various sports and live event projects for brands and broadcasters.
