Rohde & Schwarz at CABSAT 2024: Latest Broadcasting Tech

Rohde & Schwarz is set to present the newest advancements in television and radio broadcasting at CABSAT 2024.

The company aims to showcase services designed to attract audiences and generate revenue while highlighting the efficiency and sustainability of their latest transmitter designs.

Focus on Sustainability and Efficiency

For broadcasters aiming to reduce carbon emissions and enhance reliability, the R&S®TH1 transmitter represents a significant innovation in high-powered transmission. This new design boasts a minimum of 15% better energy efficiency compared to the best current transmitters. Additionally, its liquid cooling system decreases the power required for air conditioning. The transmitter’s sustainable features are complemented by a flexible software architecture, making it an ideal platform for launching new services and revenue streams.

5G Broadcast Integration

The R&S®TH1 is well-suited for integrating 5G Broadcast, a new standard for delivering content to many concurrent users on mobile devices without utilizing cellular bandwidth. Beyond broadcast and pop-up video services, this transmitter is also suitable for multicast data delivery to IoT applications, potentially offering valuable new services through existing transmitter networks.

Advancements in Radio Broadcasting

Rohde & Schwarz continues to appeal to radio broadcasters with DAB+ technology, known for its clear sound, capacity for numerous stations, and stable operation. With 75 years of experience in producing efficient transmitters across all power ranges, the company’s latest models offer optimized efficiency and the lowest cost of ownership.

Engagement with the Middle Eastern Market
