R&S TH1 Liquid-Cooled High-Power Transmitter
The R&S TH1 liquid-cooled high-power transmitter offers flexibility to adapt to evolving requirements and operational models. This advanced transmitter features an improved amplifier design, resulting in a 15% reduction in power consumption compared to current designs. The liquid cooling system disperses over 90% of generated heat to the outside atmosphere, reducing energy requirements and total cost of ownership. Additionally, the R&S TH1 supports terrestrial transmission via 5G Broadcast to mobile devices, enabling new use cases such as live and venue casting, data delivery to IoT, and automotive industry applications.
DAB+ Transmitters and Efficiency Tools
Rohde & Schwarz has been a leader in DAB+ technology since the early 1990s, with thousands of transmitters serving millions across Europe. The THV9evo, TMV9evo, and TLV9 DAB+ transmitters deliver excellent signal quality and achieve 50% transmitter efficiency, reducing operational costs. At IBC2024, the company will introduce a DAB+ efficiency calculator, an interactive tool that allows users to input their data and simulate real-time efficiency calculations.

The compact R&S PKU100 Satellite Uplink Amplifier for Ku band offers high spectrum purity and power efficiency, enabling up to 50% energy savings for 400W and 750W output power. The R&S GSACSM Realtime Satellite Monitoring solution allows operators to implement remote monitoring use cases, such as interference identification and SatCom transponder analysis, in real-time using multiple sensors.
