Russound has announced the release of its D1675 16-channel digital amplifier, designed for expanding audio systems into additional rooms or zones.
This amplifier is ideal for environments requiring increased audio output, such as larger spaces or outdoor areas. The D-Series amplifiers are known for their flexibility in source and control, multichannel power capabilities, and configurable audio filter options.

Charlie Porritt, CEO of Russound, explained that the D1675 was developed in response to the needs of their dealers and integrators. The amplifier delivers powerful audio while offering flexibility in system setup and integration, providing tailored audio experiences in various settings.
Compact Design with Advanced Features
The D1675 is part of Russound’s D-Series, which was developed with the goal of reducing the amplifier’s size while enhancing its features. The 16-channel D1675 amplifier is 2RU in height and delivers 75 watts per channel. Other models in the series include the eight-channel D890 and the 12-channel D1290, both of which are 1RU in height and now available.
Configurable Audio Filters
The D-Series amplifiers are equipped with configurable audio filter options, allowing installers to customize sound output for specific applications. These options include Full Range Sound (20Hz to 20kHz), Low Pass Filter for subwoofer support, and High Pass Filter to focus on higher frequencies, protecting speakers and amplifiers.
Input and Control Flexibility
Each channel on the D-Series amplifiers offers three input options: two bus inputs or a dedicated zone input, allowing flexibility in system design. This feature simplifies the process of powering multiple audio zones from a single chassis.
Turn-On Modes
The D-Series amplifiers include three turn-on modes: Always On, Signal Sensing, and 12V Trigger, offering adaptability to various installation scenarios. These modes help ensure energy-efficient operation while maintaining reliable performance.
