The Sennheiser Group, featuring brands Sennheiser, Neumann, Dear Reality, and Merging Technologies, will introduce a range of new products and platforms at IBC 2024 in Amsterdam.
ISennheisern the Audio Hall, the exhibition will feature the AMBEO Immersive Zone and the WMAS Discovery Area.
WMAS Discovery Area
Sennheiser will present the world’s first wideband, bidirectional wireless ecosystem based on WMAS technology (Wireless Multichannel Audio Systems). Visitors can explore the combined mic/IEM bodypacks and the new base station, with Sennheiser RF experts available to answer questions about this technology.
Neumann and Merging Broadcast Suite
Visitors can experience Neumann and Merging broadcast products for audio control, mixing, editing, and monitoring in a typical OB van setting. Neumann will display DSP-powered KH monitors, NDH studio headphones, and the MT 48 with the new Monitor Mission. Merging will showcase its Pyramix DAW software and Anubis interface, including customizable Missions for various use cases. Merging will also present upcoming upgrades with additional network options.
Sennheiser Pro Audio Workbench
Sennheiser will display solutions for ENG and studio applications, including the camera-mount EW-DP mic systems, rack-mount Digital 6000, and EW-DX wireless audio solutions. The MKH 8000 RF condenser microphone series and the updated broadcast headset portfolio will also be featured.
The AMBEO Immersive Zone
The AMBEO Immersive Zone, featuring a 5.1.4 Neumann monitor setup and a Dear Reality headphone station, will offer visitors the opportunity to explore interoperable spatial audio offerings.
Immersive Audio Capture
Visitors can compare immersive audio material recorded with various microphone setups, including the AMBEO Cube with MKH 800 TWIN microphones, the MKH 8030 in M/S stereo and double M/S stereo, and the AMBEO VR mic.
AMBEO Two-Channel Spatial Audio for Live
A plug-in for the Merging Anubis will automatically create an enhanced stereo mix.
Cinematic Stereo Audio
Visitors can compare AMBEO two-channel spatial audio with standard stereo audio.
ST 2110 and AES 67 Real-Time Networking
Neumann MA 1 Monitor Alignment will demonstrate the impact of proper studio monitor alignment with sound samples.
Immersive Mixing on Headphones
Dear Reality’s headphone listening space will feature the dearVR PRO 2 spatializer for immersive productions and the dearVR MONITOR plugin, which allows users to monitor multichannel loudspeaker formats up to 9.1.6 via stereo headphones.
