• Transition to IP technologies for production, reception, formatting, and channel-forming equipment
• Advancement in information security
• Development of remote production capabilities
• Hybrid solutions combining “Television + Social Media and Platforms”

2. What technologies and solutions have the greatest prospects?

Speaking about Kazakhstan, these are:

• Technologies for signal reception and distribution through terrestrial communication lines, leading to a phased shift from satellite data transmission technologies to optical and internet lines. However, satellite data transmission will remain as a backup and as the sole method of reception and delivery in certain regions.
• Advancements in modern technologies for individuals with disabilities, allowing them to independently enable subtitles (closed captioning) on any state television channel.
• Transitioning the lighting equipment to “green technologies” by replacing halogen studio lighting with LED technologies.
• Gradual adoption of transitioning from static set decorations to virtual spaces with elements of augmented reality.

It’s challenging to pinpoint what has little chance of success. Television currently employs both old and new technologies. This trend will likely continue for the next five years, with natural selection occurring as new technologies incorporate the functions of existing ones along with additional solutions.

3. How did the year 2023 impact your company? What significant events from 2023 can you highlight?

Successful completion of a global four-year project, “Broadcast Core Modernization,” with support from the Ministry of Culture and Information. More than 15 directions were implemented.

4. What are your company’s plans for 2024?

Continuing the modernization of the complex with an eye on the future.

Establishing a foundation for data transmission technologies through terrestrial communication lines, essentially laying the groundwork. Initiating the “Altyn Qor” (Golden Archive) project, creating a unified archive for all media files (with a metadata description system) that hold national and special importance.
