Shotoku Broadcast Systems to Exhibit at BroadcastAsia 2024

Shotoku Broadcast Systems, an international manufacturer known for high-quality and reliable camera support systems, has announced its participation in BroadcastAsia 2024.

The company will showcase both robotic and manual solutions at the event.

Robotic Solutions

Shotoku will present its advanced TR-XT control system for studio robotics. This system features the company’s AutoFrame face tracking technology, designed to address the demands of 24/7 live studio production. The TR-XT will operate the TI-11X elevator pedestal, T1-12 height drive, and the versatile TI-18i pan/tilt head at the exhibition.

Manual Solutions

Shotoku representatives will highlight the features that make their range of pedestals, tripods, and pan & tilt heads ideal for studio, OB, and ENG use. These products are renowned for their reliability and ease of use.

TR-XT Studio Robotics Control System

The TR-XT system has been significantly upgraded and now runs on a Windows 11 operating system. It features a distributed front-end/back-end architecture and supports virtualized remote database access. The updated TR-XT offers an enhanced feature set that allows operators to work more efficiently, with an improved interface that includes easier-to-use command buttons and a new color scheme.

AutoFrame Face Tracking Technology

The AutoFrame technology, integrated into the TR-XT system, provides real-time face tracking and shot recall. It enables Shotoku robotic cameras to be controlled smoothly and intelligently through automatic face tracking algorithms. AutoFrame ensures minimal response delays and smooth adjustments, allowing for both autonomous operation and seamless human intervention.

TI-11X Elevator Pedestal

The TI-11X elevator pedestal, controlled by the TR-XT, is paired with the TG-18i pan/tilt head. This combination offers a highly capable robotic camera setup with elevation control. The TI-11X features an extended range of travel and increased speed compared to its predecessor, the TI-11.

TI-12 Elevator Unit

The TI-12 elevator unit, also on display, is ideal for studios requiring both height control and manual operation. It is adaptable to virtually any studio pedestal, regardless of manufacturer or age. The TI-12 adds value by providing super-smooth robotic operation while maintaining manual control capabilities at the touch of a button.

Shotoku’s exhibition at BroadcastAsia 2024 promises to showcase innovative solutions that meet the diverse needs of modern broadcasting environments.
