Introduction of Rapid Adjustment System

Originally showcased in August 2023, the SVT75 Rapid tripod by SIRUI introduced a novel one-step height adjustment system. This system, designed to expedite setup times on set, features a lever on each leg that allows for simultaneous unlocking and locking of the tripod sections. Building on this technology, SIRUI has now applied the rapid adjustment concept to its latest monopods, the SVM145 and SVM165, aiming to enhance workflow efficiency for photographers and videographers.

Specifications of the SVM145 and SVM165

Constructed from carbon fiber, both the SVM145 and SVM165 monopods boast a lightweight design, each weighing approximately 1.5kg (3.30 lbs). They are capable of supporting a maximum load of 10kg (22 lbs), making them suitable for a wide range of cameras and lenses. The SVM145 extends up to 145cm (57in) in height, whereas the SVM165 can reach up to 165cm (65in), with minimum heights of 75cm (29.5in) and 82cm (32.3in) respectively.

A single knob located at the top of each monopod controls the height adjustment, simplifying the extension and retraction process. The top platform includes a bubble level and a 3/8″-16 screw for attaching a fluid head. This platform is detachable, facilitated by a grey quick-release ring. The monopod’s base features three small, foldable tripod legs and a ball head that permits tilting of the center column up to 36° in any direction. The same quick-release mechanism is present at the base, allowing the removal of the center column for low-angle shots using the mini tripod setup.

Additional Extension Option

For users requiring extra height, SIRUI offers an optional SVM-E extension tube, which adds an additional 30cm (11.8in) to the monopods. This accessory provides further versatility, catering to various shooting scenarios and user preferences.
