SIRUI has teased its new Venus 1.8x 135mm T2.9 Full-frame Anamorphic lens. It is now available to pre-order for a Super Earlybird Price of $1279 USD.
These lenses shouldn’t be confused with SIRUI`’s Venus 1.6x anamorphic lenses. According to SIRUI, the 135mm T2.9 1.8x has a similar optical and mechanical design to its 1.6x full-frame siblings.
The lens features a 1.8x constant squeeze ratio as it covers full frame up to 36x24mm. It also has horizontal blue flares and oval bokeh.
The full Venus 1.8x set will eventually consist of a 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, and 135mm. SIRUI claims that they will have a consistent color temperature tone and blue flare. The lens weighs 1.29 kg. It is available in Sony E, Canon RF, Leica L, and Nikon Z Mount.
