SmallRig has unveiled its latest offering, a retro-themed cage specifically crafted for the FUJIFILM X100VI camera.
This product is engineered to shield the camera body while simultaneously offering various options for expansion. It secures to the camera via a 1/4″-20 screw located at the base and an additional side lock on the left, ensuring the device remains scratch-free thanks to protective silicone padding.
Ergonomic and Accessible
A notable feature of this cage is its integrated wooden grip, designed for ergonomic comfort and a stable hold. It is meticulously designed to allow full access to all camera functions including buttons, card slots, the LCD screen, the MCS switch, and the battery compartment, ensuring that the camera’s usability is not compromised.
Versatile Mounting Options
The cage is equipped with several interface options to cater to a variety of mounting needs: a 1/4″-20 threaded hole, an ARRI 3/8″-16 locating hole, a cold shoe mount, and a strap hole. Additionally, it features an Arca-Swiss quick release plate at the bottom, facilitating easy attachment to Arca-compatible tripods. For convenience, a double-headed wrench is integrated into the bottom of the cage for straightforward disassembly and assembly.
Special Features
As a homage to FUJIFILM, the cage includes a unique hot shoe cover that features the “FUJIFILM” sound wave and the company’s founding year. It also comes with a red shutter release button, designed to offer a soft and comfortable touch during use.
