SmallRig has unveiled its latest product, the mini L-shaped Mount Plate Kit. This kit, a result of collaboration with Iddo Genuth, is tailored for attaching various camera accessories.
It’s an ideal solution for easily mounting items like wireless image transmitters, monitors, and V-mount battery plates, either parallel or perpendicular to the camera.
Versatile and User-Friendly Features
The kit is distinguished by its versatile design, featuring retractable locating pins. It offers the flexibility to use either 1/4”-20 screws or 3/8”-16 screws. This versatility makes the mount plate compatible with a range of camera cages, as well as directly with numerous cameras and accessories. However, it’s crucial to note that due to the pin spacing, it is not suitable for SmallHD monitors.
Multiple Attachment Options
The mount plate supports four distinct attachment methods:
1/4”-20 threaded hole
1/4”-20 locating hole
3/8”-16 threaded hole
ARRI 3/8”-16 locating hole
Durability and Protection
In addition to its functional design, the plate includes anti-slip silicone pads. These pads not only protect the camera from scratches but also ensure a stable attachment to SmallRig and other compatible cage systems. Constructed from aluminum alloy, the mount plate is lightweight, weighing only 32g / 1.1oz. Despite its light weight, it boasts a significant load-bearing capacity of 1.2kg / 2.6lb.
