Smode Tech has announced the release of SMODE V10, the latest version of its media server platform.
This update initiates the V10 cycle, where the company plans to progressively introduce a new mixer workflow with each 10.x release.
Frame Accuracy and TouchDesigner Integration
The SMODE V10 update has been optimized for frame accuracy in complex scenarios. Additionally, it now integrates with TouchDesigner, allowing .tox files to be imported as generative layers or layer modifiers in any SMODE project or composition.
Companion Plugin for StreamDeck Control
The new Companion plugin enables users to control any show, even when using multiple SMODE servers, through a StreamDeck.
Widget Editor for Custom Interfaces
The V10 software introduces a Widget Editor, which lets users create custom command interfaces using drag-and-drop functionality within SMODE. This feature enhances encoding and show operation, allowing users to create personalized editors based on specific projects or compositions.
Enhanced Fixtures Control
The update also includes improved fixtures control compatible with GrandMA and GDTF, making SMODE V10 more versatile and powerful by allowing integration with industry-standard tools for precise lighting effects.
Early Access and Validation
SMODE V10.0 has been available in early access for nearly two months and has been validated in several projects. Notable uses include Cyril Teste’s “Sur l’Autre Rive” by the MxM collective, the Cannes Film Festival, and performances by the French group Justice at Coachella and their international tour.
