Sony Electronics has recently updated its Ci Media Cloud platform, introducing a new subscription plan specifically designed for small and medium businesses.
The Business Plan, priced at approximately $249 per month, offers users unlimited Workspaces, 1 TB of active storage, 4 TB of archive storage, and 500 GB of monthly data transfers. This plan also includes advanced features like custom branding and usage analytics, aiming to offer a comprehensive solution for independent creators and organizations with multiple teams.
Launch of Ci Transfer Desktop App
Sony has also unveiled Ci Transfer, a desktop application that facilitates the high-speed transfer of files to and from the Ci Media Cloud platform. Compatible with both Mac and PC, the app supports multi-gigabit speed transfers and can handle large numbers of files efficiently. It also features functionalities like pause, resume, and transfer reports, which are crucial for prioritizing urgent files. Additionally, for enterprise customers, there is a new sidecar ingest workflow feature that allows for seamless migration of media libraries without losing sidecar metadata.
Dolby Atmos Audio File Support
Further enhancing the platform’s capabilities, Sony’s Ci Media Cloud now supports video and audio files with Dolby Atmos. This integration, made possible through Dolby.io, allows users to upload and play ADM BWF Atmos audio in Ci’s player. Additionally, the platform enables users to listen to and download audio proxies in binaural or stereo formats. The built-in media analysis tool also provides visual indicators of Loudness Unit Full Scale (LUFS) and True Peak levels, aiding creative and quality assurance teams in working with immersive audio content.
