Sony FX6: Firmware V5.01 with Audio Fix and Enhancements

Sony has released Firmware V5.01 for the FX6 camera, addressing a specific audio issue and incorporating enhancements from the previous version.

Key Fixes and Improvements:
  1. Audio Issue Resolution: The update fixes an issue where the audio from CH2 would change unintentionally when the power is turned on with the INPUT2 (audio input 2) switch set to LINE, a problem introduced in Ver. 5.00.
  2. New Features from Ver. 5.00:
    • 709tone Base Look: Adds support for the new preset 709tone Base Look.
    • 1.5x De-Squeeze Setting: Adds a 1.5x De-Squeeze setting for both the viewfinder and HDMI output.
    • Monitor & Control App Support: Includes features such as waveform and histogram displays, false-color and focus map displays, and monitoring at 1024×576 resolution.
    • Area Indication Setting: Adds support for the Area Indication setting when using the Multi Matrix correction feature.
    • Improved Image Quality: Enhances image quality when using 3D LUT software.
    • 23.98PsF Support: Adds support for 23.98PsF (progressive segmented frame) for SDI output.
    • Breathing Compensation for Supported Lenses: Adds support for the Breathing Compensation function for lenses SEL100400GM and SEL200600G.
    • Focus Target Selection: Allows the use of the multi-selector to choose the focus target for the real-time tracking auto-focus feature.
    • New Settings:
      • Format Media A or B setting on the Media status screen.
      • Wireless LAN, Wired LAN, or Modem setting on the Network status screen.
    • Enhanced Matrix/Multi Matrix Adjustment Range: Improves the adjustment range of the Matrix/Multi Matrix settings when the Base Look is set between User1 and User16, and when Target Display is set to HDR (HLG).
