Sony has released version 2.0.0 of its Monitor & Control app, now featuring support for the BURANO and FX6 cameras, as well as new functionalities like anamorphic de-squeeze and multi-camera monitoring.
Introduced during IBC 2023, Sony’s Monitor & Control app is a free tool available on iOS and Android devices. It allows users to connect wirelessly to their cameras, enabling them to monitor video signals, change camera settings, and access various monitoring tools, including waveform, histogram, and false color.
Initial Compatibility and Expansion
Initially, the app was compatible with the Sony FX30, FX3, and FX6 cameras, with plans to expand support to more models. With the release of version 2.0.0, Sony has fulfilled this promise, significantly enhancing the app’s functionality.
