Sennheiser’s Spectera Wins Double Recognition at JTSE 2025

Sennheiser’s bidirectional wideband digital wireless ecosystem, Spectera, has earned two prestigious awards at the recent JTSE (Journées Techniques du Spectacle et de l’Événement) tradeshow in France.

Spectera took home the Audience Award in the Audio category and the 2025 Innovation Award from the JTSE jury, underscoring its position as a major technological breakthrough in professional audio.

Compact, High-Capacity System Architecture

Spectera is the world’s first bidirectional wideband wireless solution for professional microphones and in-ear monitoring systems. Its single 1U Base Station supports up to 64 audio channels (32 inputs and 32 outputs) and accommodates microphones, IEMs, and control data on the same RF carrier—6 or 8 MHz wide depending on local regulations. The SEK bodypack transceivers manage both microphone/line signals and in-ear monitoring simultaneously, simplifying setup and delivering unmatched ease of use for RF managers and audio teams.

Thanks to its permanent two-way communication, operators can remotely control every audio link, optimizing audio quality, latency, and operating range for each connection.

Designed for Real-World Production Needs

The JTSE awards highlight Spectera’s ability to streamline workflows for live audio engineers, broadcasters, integrators, and theatres. Its efficient frequency management, simple on-site setup, and small footprint make it particularly attractive for touring productions.

Additionally, the Spectera Lab invites operators and owners to co-create the system’s future with Sennheiser, providing an open roadmap of upcoming features and functions.

“Receiving these two awards is a source of immense pride,” says Charly Fourcade, Technical Application Engineer at Sennheiser. “They reflect both the trust that users place in the system and the high standards of the jury. Spectera represents a totally new approach to RF wireless and addresses real-world needs in live audio and broadcast. We look forward to continuing to shape the Spectera ecosystem in collaboration with the passionate professionals in these fields.”
