Romanian Radio Studio Expansion with DHD Modular System

The Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company (SRR) installed a new production and broadcast facility using DHD RX2 and TX2 console systems.

The system includes a DHD XC3 core with Dante and AES67/Ravenna interfaces, enabling IP audio routing and future expansion.

Production Capabilities

The studios support live broadcasting, multitrack production, and podcast workflows. Features include talkback, clean feeds, configurable buses, loudness monitoring, and multi-studio routing.

Acoustic Design

Acoustic treatment is integrated into the studio décor. Absorbers and diffusers are hidden behind decorative surfaces, with visible reflection control elements. Rooms provide uniform diffusion, low flutter echoes, and controlled reverberation.

Integration and Network

RomTek Electronics managed equipment supply, cabling, rack layout, grounding, and IP connectivity. The system is fully integrated with SRR’s wider infrastructure for studio-to-transmitter links and multichannel routing.

Project Execution

RomTek handled installation, configuration, and commissioning, delivering a modern facility with reliable signal paths and minimal latency. The setup allows SRR to switch between live programmes, multitrack sessions, and podcast production efficiently.
