At the NAB 2024 event, located at Booth SU3058, Pronology has announced significant updates to its StreamFile Core™ platform.
This platform is renowned for its ability to manage IP video protocols and convert them into formats that are easily editable, such as ProRes, DNx, XDCam, H.264, among others. The notable enhancements include support for the 2110 standard and the introduction of a novel Shot List player.
Advanced Features for Efficient Workflow
StreamFile Core has been designed to facilitate the distribution and receipt of IP video protocols, enabling the conversion to formats compatible with video editing software. This system can directly save media files to both local and cloud-based storage solutions, including Amazon S3. The integration of NDI® and Haivison SRT into StreamFile Core marks a significant improvement in IP and streaming capabilities. Offering support for SMPTE 2110 on commonly available hardware, StreamFile Core presents a cost-effective solution for broadcasting needs. The platform accommodates SMPTE 2022-7 standards and supports both NMOS discovery and manual stream entry, ensuring compatibility with various video codecs such as ProRes and DNx. This flexibility allows for remote work, on-location production, and broader operational locations.
Enhanced Accessibility with New Shot List Player
A major feature of the latest update is the Shot List player, designed to facilitate the sub-clipping of multiple camera angles with precise timecode accuracy. This feature is particularly beneficial for social media teams needing quick access to VOD media from live settings. The Shot List player is designed for ease of use by all, regardless of technical expertise, and includes a star rating system and color coding for efficient clip categorization and filtering.
Jonathan Aroesty, the president of Pronology, emphasized the platform’s ability to convert IP-video streams into files ready for editing. He highlighted the update’s focus on advanced social media tools to streamline access to clips.
Widespread Industry Adoption
StreamFile Core is widely adopted across the broadcast and production industry, featuring in numerous national programs and podcasts. Its robust, versatile, and cost-efficient nature makes it a preferred choice for creating, recording, and sharing multi-view live streams. The platform allows production teams to monitor various camera angles in real-time or review footage with DVR functionality. Users can also customize multi-view templates to suit their specific needs.
Available on an annual subscription basis, StreamFile Core offers secure, cloud-based access, ensuring that customers can leverage the latest in broadcast workflow technology efficiently and effectively.
