The CL-40D measures 20.4 x 20.4 x 5.4 cm (8 x 8 x 2.1 inches) and weighs 824 grams (29 ounces). This 40W panel is equipped with 288 SMD LEDs, split evenly between 2700°K and 6500°K color temperatures. The panel boasts a maximum brightness of 1150 Lux at a distance of 1 meter (3 feet) and offers a beam angle of 64 degrees. Additionally, it features removable barn doors to manage light spill effectively.

In terms of color reproduction, the CL-40D promises exceptional accuracy with a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 98, a Television Lighting Consistency Index (TLCI) of 99, and a Spectral Similarity Index (SSI) for D55 daylight of 75. These metrics indicate the panel’s ability to produce colors that are vibrant and true to life.
Versatile Powering Options and Controls
The rear of the CL-40D houses a small LCD screen, alongside two knobs for adjusting brightness and color temperature. Users have three options for powering the panel: a built-in V-Mount battery plate, a USB Type-C port, and a DC input with an included AC-DC adapter. The product also comes with a snap-on handle for mounting on a standard 5/8″ baby-pin light stand, allowing for a 90-degree tilt.
