SWIT: New Firmware for FM-215HDR Monitor

SWIT has released the FM-215HDR Firmware Update V21.6.38R for its 21.5-inch 1000nit HDR Multi-View monitor.

This update includes optimizations for LUT uploads, a de-squeeze function for anamorphic lenses, and various other improvements.

Key Features of the FM-215HDR V21.6.38R Firmware Update
  • User LUT Support: The update now supports the upload of up to 13 User LUTs (*.cube), compatible with both 17x17x17 and 33x33x33 cubes.
  • Anamorphic De-squeeze Function: A new de-squeeze function has been added to accommodate anamorphic lenses with options of 1.33x, 1.5x, 1.66x, 2x, 1.33x magnification, 1.5x magnification, 1.66x magnification, and 2x magnification.
  • Input Source Selection: Users can now select the input source using the Fn keys.
  • Input Range Adjustment: The input range is now adjustable to 64-1023.
  • RGB Gain/Bias and CBS Precision: The precision of RGB Gain/Bias and CBS adjustments has been optimized.
  • PBP H/V Setting Menu: The Picture-by-Picture (PBP) H/V setting menu has been improved.
  • Overlay Charts Display: The default display position of the overlay charts has been optimized.
  • Waveforms Transparency: The default transparency of waveforms has been optimized.

Firmware Update Steps
  1. Copy the firmware file “FM-215HDR_v21.6.38R_20240624_1520.zip” to a USB disk formatted in FAT32. Ensure it is placed in the root directory and there are no other firmware files in this location.
  2. Insert the USB disk into the front USB port of the monitor.
  3. Navigate to Menu > System > Update > YES. The monitor will begin updating. Follow the on-screen instructions to restart the monitor. Do not power off the monitor during this process.
  4. After the monitor restarts, remove the USB disk.
  5. Check the firmware version by going to Menu > Exit & Status. The version should now be v21.6.38R. The update is complete.
